BaGLAMA 2 not reporting October stats & GLAMorgan reporting 0 views the last few months

Issue #94 new

Hi Magnus

Thanks so much for the work you do.

I use your tools BaGLAMA 2 & GLAMorgan for reaporting the reach of the open access images the Museum I work at has uploaded, but for the last few month GLAMorgan has been reporting 0 views, and this month BaGLAMA 2 has not updated October stats.

Would be great to fix either or both of these.

Thanks James

As of 4 January 2023, the great majority of BaGLAMa2 categories only go up to October, with a few going up to November. I can get November data for my category from GLAMOrgan okay. It’s hard to tell if the tool is outright broken or just working verrrrrry slowly. WIRs are doing annual reporting, so it would be nice if the BaGLAMa2 report was up to date.

    Hi Magnus & others,

I noticed the same issue this week. At my employer (Naturalis Biodiversity Center) we use BaGLAMa2 to measure & report how many times our Wikimedia Commons content donations are used in Wiki articles. Very useful tool! Our page does not go beyond October 2022 at his point: https://glamtools.toolforge.org/baglama2/index.html#gid=204

If this could be fixed, that would be fantastic. In any case, keep up the good work.

    Cheers,

    Sander

FYI, @Martin Poulter and @Sander Pieterse - I found the problem with GLAMorgan, in that if you have an ad blocker, it will fail.

See this:Ad blockers that are aggressive in filtering out “metrics” in client-side traffic are blocking access to the Pageview metrics REST API, which as the word “metrics” in the URL! Turn off ad blocking or find another browser and it works. I’ve documented it here:
