Issue with Resolve Authors tool

What I did:

1. I navigated to https://tools.wmflabs.org/sourcemd/new_resolve_authors.php?
2. I input "Andrej Konotopez" in the "Author name" box and clicked "Look for author"
3. It correctly found one publication "PyBEL: a Computational Framework for Biological Expression Language. [ORCID]"
4. There was no WikiData entry for this author, so I clicked the "Create new item" radio box. This author also does not have an ORCID, so I left that blank and clicked "Do it!"

Results

I was forwarded to https://tools.wmflabs.org/sourcemd/new_resolve_authors.php? and go the following error message:

Fatal error: Cannot access property QuickStatements::$last_item in /data/project/quickstatements/public_html/quickstatements.php on line 489

It appears that a page was created for this author (https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q59196043).

Reproduction

I tried the process again, but this time selecting the WikiData entry for this author that was created. This time, the reference in the paper mentioned above (https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q42695788) was successfully updated, but the page hung up on "Running..."

I was able to reproduce this issue for another author that was not already in WikiData, and also was able to check that for an author that was already found on WikiData (even one that wasn't created with this tool), it does not get an error. I hope this is enough information for you to reproduce my issue.

Thanks for providing this service. I'm having a lot of fun inputting the information from my institute (Fraunhofer SCAI) so we can visualize publication statistics.

I experienced the same issue. Although in my case the author already existed and I accidentally created on (which I then merged).
