Source MD adds erroneous main subject

Source MD adds erroneous subjects to items in Wikidata. I’ve seen it when generating articles published in various journals.

Scientific article Q60781629. The article published in Journal of Paleontology (Q217924). Source MD added as main subject the scientific article titled Palaeontology (Q58944531). The journal has the subject paleontology (Q7205) as evidenced by the journal name, but that’s not what ended up as the subject.

Wikidata items published in the Journal of Geophysical Research (Q2738009) generate with main subjects aquatic science and that article titled Palaeontology. Both are almost ALWAYS wrong. I don’t see aquatic science OR paleontology in the journal’s wikidata item, so I have no idea the source of the subjects that end up in articles published in that journal.

Request Source MD stop adding subjects. If the community finds value in generating items with the subject, can we fix the subjects chosen?
