Disambiguation pages are not anthroponymy articles, wrong "instance of" used in Disambiguation items game?
Hi, I'm not exactly sure if this is an issue, but I'll report here to make sure: The "Disambiguation items" games suggested (as a real example) this page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bekir. Now I wonder: Is this a valid suggestion for a disambiguation page? If yes, according to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Disambiguation_pages#Given_names_or_surnames these pages are not disambiguation pages? "Articles only listing persons with a certain given name or surname, known as anthroponymy articles, are not disambiguation pages"
So setting instance of Wikimedia disambiguation page (Q4167410) would be wrong there as far as I see this. Or did I get something wrong and that example above is not a disambiguation page and I should click on "Don't show again"? But then, what would be a valid example of a disambiguation page that's also an instance of surname or given name?

repo owner Well, what the English Wikipedia MoS says is most certainly not automatically law for Wikidata. That said:
-
Calling those pages "disambiguation" is not wrong IMHO, though it may be too generic
-
What other item would you suggest to use for "instance of"? The disambiguation subclass tree isn't exactly awash with candidates...
-
Maybe an example where it's done "right" (according to en.wp MoS) on Wikidata?
-
Is this a rare event, or does it apply to all given/family name pages? If it's the former, use "Skip"; if it's the latter, I can change the code for the buttons, but only if I have a better target item.
-
I won't be adding any more buttons to this one. It's overcrowded as it is!
-
IMHO, even the (possibly over-generic) "Wikimedia disambiguation page" is better than no "instance of" at all.

reporter You get very often surname/given name pages via that game. Maybe a new item should be created for those anthroponymy articles? I'm far from being a wikidata or category expert though... for now, you could just give it "instance of given name/family name" and just leave out the Wikimedia disambiguation page instance of. I'll start a discussion on this at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Anthroponymy to possibly find out more.

repo owner Why on en.wp? If we have this discussion, have it on Wikidata!

per
#49I'll merge my comment/task here:Adding an option for "set index" might be good. Though I'm not sure how much this designation is used outside of Enwiki?
