Game proposal: supply label

Issue #107 new

Another easy game idea would be to supply labels, possibly with a field pre-filled with the Wikipedia article title, minus any parenthetical at the end (likely used for disambiguation). You might want to limit users to one language at a time, so they see the en.wiki article (for example), then add the English title. This would go really fast, because users would likely simply be clicking "okay" over and over. This would also likely generate new candidates for the merge game as more items have labels. (Though I'm not really sure how the merge game works...)

I support this idea, and suggest doing the same sort of thing with descriptions. I suggest not limiting the game to items without labels, but also including items that already have user-supplied labels, and asking the player which label is preferable: the game's label or the user-supplied one. This would help clean up the vandalism that has accumulated over the past year or so and the thousands of labels added by misguided or confused new contributors who enter the name of a language or a URL. No matter how well the game works, it couldn't make the situation any worse than it already is.

@jesse_chandler you might want to take a look at Magnus' comment here. It seems to address the workflow you're suggesting, but let me know if I misinterpreted you.

is it the same as "Label collector" tool on wd ? - would be very useful, with possibility to restrict to a certain type of item (people, places, ect.)
