Requests to api.php never return

I played "the game" quite a lot over the weekend and experienced one problem every few hours: The games' main pages simply stop loading. All I can see is the top headline. It's not even possible to report problems if you haven't bookmarked the link already. When I try again after an hour or two the page is usually back.

Same problem right now.

http://tools.wmflabs.org/wikidata-game/ responds but http://tools.wmflabs.org/wikidata-game/api.php dies an eternal death. No request to api.php ever returns. Like it's stuck in an endless loop.

Please don't close this with "works for me". As I said this is not a one-time issue. I'm pretty sure the same happens to many other users but they can't report it.

I think this is duplicate of #48 I have the same problem, sometimes I can't load the main page. I don't kwno why it's necessary to load a bunch of pages in the main page.
