creator_from_wikidata produces {{Creator}}s with missing fields

Issue #33 new
jaroslaw Tuszynski created an issue

creator_from_wikidata produces {{Creator}} templates with several missing fields:

  1. Homecat should be set to Property P373, sitelink to commons category or just set to "{{subst:PAGENAME}}" as in most cases creator pages match category names

  2. Option set to "{{{1|}}}" is needed for all Creator pages so parameters can be passed to the [[Template:Creator]]

  3. Authority at the moment creates {{Authority Control}} template but does not include links to VIAF, LCCN, etc. I assume the intention was that at some point in the future when Commons have random access to any wikidata Q-code than {{Authority Control}} template would be rewritten to just take Q-code. However in the mean time those {{Authority Control}} templates look bad and it would be great to include links to top 2-3 sites. See also https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Template:Creator/wrapper&action=edit for how others tackled the same problem.

  4. Name would work better if you only include languages with interwiki links to articles on wikipedias. The only complication with LinkSwitch section is that there should be always an "en" or "default" field present with latin alphabet name.

Template {{Creator}} changed a lot in last year, and it will change even more soon as I expect to be able to generate templates based only on Wikidata (something like {{Creator|Wikidata=Q1234}}). In the mean time if Wikidata parameter is provided than we no longer need (or want) "Authority" field as we moved 98% or authority control identifiers to Wikidata and get them from there. Also you could skip "Name" parameter which is also generated based on Wikidata.
