iOS version stuck on Getting GPX Lock

whenever i try to record i get this message and it sticks. Current accuracy is 9999.00 m. Required accuracy 30.0m. Iphone 7. Other mapping apps like Equilab work normally so GPS system on phone is fine. Tried reinstalling twice. Latest version downloaded from AppStore today.
