Jython deploy

Issue #157 resolved
Eduardo Martins Lopes created an issue

Hello guys, i would like to ask how much work would be required to deploy RhodeCode using jython.

The first thing to my mind is the sqlite3 dependency. Can it be abstracted?

I am really interested on deploying RhodeCode as a war application over tomcat.

Thanks in advance

sqlite3 can be removed without any problems, rhodecode can run on mysql or postgres without problem. it's a mater of removing it from the dependencies and change the db address in the ini file.

I'm sorry for my lack of knowledge, but bz2 is also missing from jython but i cannot see anywhere within the source code where it's imported. Is it safe to remove it from the dep list or replace with tarfile module?

EDIT: i skimmed over the sources too quickly, i suppose mercurial uses it, right? I would do fine without achiving capabilities (at least in the bz2 regard) Thanks for your answers
