Python exception when doing push

Issue #830 resolved
Sisu Alexandru created an issue

Hello all,

I have installed on our servers RhodeCode 1.6.0rc1 . Suddenly we started up receiving on our workstations messages like:

remote: Repository size .hg:117.8 MB repo:0 B total:117.8 MB
remote: Last revision is now r165:30ea644e6c57
remote: Traceback (most recent call last):
remote: File "/usr/lib/python2.7/logging/__init__.py", line 857, in emit
remote: stream.write(ufs % msg)
remote: IOError: [Errno 5] Input/output error
remote: Logged from file utils.py, line 166

The push gets sent to the repository. However, I worry that later on it might be an issue and we will not be able to commit.

The current issue description might be laconic a bit, but I'm not sure what other type of information can I provide.

Thanks in advance,

Alex

Thanks,

Well my machine has 16GB of ram and enough disk space. I checked with htop and there's plenty of free memory.

Should I check the amount of memory hg push takes? If so, how can I do that?

use htop while pushing/pulling would be good, for a basic test. Also i just started to wonder if it's not that you somehow don't have permission to write into logfiles ? Maybe it's an issue with different user that rhodecode is running vs the logfiles ? Good test for that would be to run paster serve <yourini> and see all logs that goes into stdout, then check the same thing with paster serve --log-file=somelocation <yourini>
