Issue #882 new

logging-related IOError when pushing

Christian Staudt
created an issue

This error message is printed when pushing to a repository:

searching for changes
1 changesets found
remote: Repository size .hg:72.9 kB repo:0 B total:72.9 kB
remote: Last revision is now r43:14014d3cea2f

remote: stream.write(ufs % msg)
remote: IOError: [Errno 5] Input/output error
remote: Logged from file utils.py, line 183

Pushing still works, but users get the impression that something critical has happened.

If this is a configuration issue, then the error message should give hints on how to solve the problem.

Check your logging config, maybe there's an issue with writing to specified logfiles ?

Simplest way would be to run paster serve with logging sent to stdout, and then check git push

    I'm having the same issue

remote: Repository size .hg:6.3 MB repo:0 B total:6.3 MB remote: Last revision is now r1477:207f7165f866 remote: Traceback (most recent call last): remote: File "/usr/local/python2.7/lib/python2.7/logging/init.py", line 862, in emit remote: stream.write(ufs % msg) remote: IOError: [Errno 5] Input/output error remote: Logged from file utils.py, line 166

but I do not have logging enabled at all (logging goes to stdout) and I'm using Mercurial.

    Any new ideas?
