Issue #1 resolved

The new version 1.1 threw an error and also printed "Special PGF/TikZ nodes for areas of the page]" to my PDF, so I checked the file:

{{{

!latex

\ProvidesPackage{tikzpagenodes}[%

Special PGF/TikZ nodes for areas of the page]

}}}

This should probably be something like: {{{

!latex

\ProvidesPackage{tikzpagenodes}%[ %Special PGF/TikZ nodes for areas of the page] }}}

Best wishes and congratulations on the outstanding reaction time, Tom Bombadil

    I couldn't recreate this. The official released tikzpagenodes.sty file has the correct \ProvidesPackage lines. I checked the version on CTAN, in the TDS ZIP file as well as the files in the Hg repository. They are all correct or get extracted correctly.

    From where and how exactly did you install the package?

    I downloaded it from BitBucket this morning. First I downloaded V 1.1, which produced an error. To ensure that it was the new version, I downgraded back to V 1.0, and the error was gone. So I reinstalled V 1.1, and the error reappeared. I was only then that I realized that the string "Special PGF/TikZ nodes for areas of the page]" appeared in the PDF. Oh, I used the .dtx, not the .sty, the one from the .zip file. MFG Tom Bombadil

    As you couldn't reproduce it, I tried, but what was two blank lines before is now date and version number, so

    \ProvidesPackage{tikzpagenodes}[%
        2012/09/16
        v1.1
        Special PGF/TikZ nodes for areas of the page]

    This works fine, so I guess I also can't reproduce it any more (which seems really strange). I'll let you know if I should find something. MFG Tom Bombadil
