Installing Wt or OpenCV on Jessie broke the usb gadget

Tried repairing using these instructions: usb gadget

Received the following error message when running the beaglebone-black-g-ether-load.sh script:

modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'g_multi': Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)

Need to determine whether this is a result of libopencv-dev, witty, witty-dev or witty-dbg. Also need to determine whether this is a result of running Jessie versus Wheezy.
