Cannot create any associations

Hi -

I've been trying to connect objects for way too long now and it's not working. I am using version 7.0.0 this time - still on windows 10

I have tried to create and associate two new classes in a new project, and I have tried:

1. Click on the first one, draw a line from it to the class I want to associate
2. Click on both classes, then draw a line from the far side of one of the classes and connecting them.
3. no objects clicked, just draw a line between both
4. Click on the child object, draw a line starting in the primary class and connecting on to the child
5. converse of 4

I have found a bit to read on it and I think I'm doing the right thing.

I also opened some of the model repository .core files, found ones with associations, deleted them and could not re-associate them.

Try the following:

1. Start drawing a line from just beside the class and end it on top of the other class
2. A popup should appear asking you whether to create an association or inheritance
