It feels like taking a road trip every time I go to BitBucket.
There is a GH with 41 stars that's a mirror of whoosh:
Not a fan of bitbucket's interface. It makes everything feel far apart. Source code isn't browseable via the main page (main page is basically useless). It's also on a site that has separate registration than where a lot of the python activity is happening.
Not trying to be a bother or force GH on people who philosophically disagree: but 9/10 python projects are there and the momentum is on GH.
To repeat: I'm not trying to be rude to the maintainers of the project to push GitHub in a cargo-culting way. I just think that it's worth considering.
