Description

The implementation of apache HTTPClient did lack the support for modern transport layer security (TLS). Therefore the dependencies have been updated to most recent Apache HttPClient version and changes have been made to the code ensuring the use of up-to-date TLS protocol only. Old SSL implementations should not be used anymore. Configuration file has been modified to provide a possibility of using self-signed certificates for testing and debugging purposes.

  • add apache HttpClient TLS functionality for remote callback updated dependencies to new HttpClient library

  • refactoring logging addition default config file

  • refactoring

I merged the changes into branch "release-1.5.0" for the next minor release. The pull request will probably be closed when that branch is merged back into master. Thanks for sharing the code.
