Tapping "3 new posts" does nothing at times

It feels like Tentr is looking to see if there are any new posts but there is no indication of that. When "3 new posts" is tapped during that process, it looks like the tap is not registered since nothing happens.

Maybe when the app is refreshing, put a spinner before "3 new posts" to show that there is an action taking place?

But if the user taps on something tappable (like "3 new posts"), the app should ALWAYS register that tap with an action.
