Splash screen crash after freeze.

A few versions ago (1.1 #3, I think) I was having some problems. When I left the app when it was freezing and then went back to it, it crashed on the splash screen. I believe it happened when I didn't force quit the app, though I'm not 100% sure and I was having a hard time getting it to crash on-demand.

I know it's a bit late to be reporting this, but I figured being late was better than deciding to not report it at all. This obviously could have been fixed in the mean time.
