Ability to modify environment of python and/or perl through pymodules

There is a fantastic tool called ClusterFlow that can manage pipelines in a cluster environment and it uses environment modules to manage software. I can't properly explain the nuances but I opened an issue on their project and they came back with a very detailed explanation: https://github.com/ewels/clusterflow/issues/9

Would it be difficult to add this feature to pymodules? Thank you very much.
