Task periodicity (for repeating/recurring tasks) is not preserved

It seems repeating tasks have their "repeatingness" stripped from them when copied?

Unfortunately that doesn't seem to be possible to set using the API. I've had a test case for this for a while, but it's not been added to the API (yet, at least)

If the problem is creating (not reading) the periodicity, would it be possible, as a workaround, to write the periodicity into a comment field or the description, and add a ‘repeating’ tag? That way it would be easy to do a manual sweep of these tasks later and correct the repeating information.
