BaMeter flashes in notification bar on refresh when not at the top of the list

Observed in Android 4.4 KitKat on a Nexus 7 (2012) and a Nexus 5. When notification is not at the top of the notification list, the whole tile blinks/flashes for every update, instead of just refreshing the numbers.
