Configurable Block Defaults

Users could save the current variable values shown in the inspector as that block's defaults. When the user drags a copy of the block from the Browser to the canvas, his defaults would be automatically populated.

This could be implemented with a pair of buttons at the top of the inpsector, Save Default and Load Default. The save button would store the block's configuration keyed to the hash of the block. The load button would populate the blocks if they had been altered.
