exec-based /help system that gives links to the wiki
Proposal: A dedicated /help
command that takes various exec and canary (a rapidly decreasing number of which exist) commands as a parameter, and returns a wiki link where appropriate.
Additionally, adding a /command help
mode to most exec commands, to take users to the relevant wiki page if appropriate - for instance, /home help
would take you to minecraftonline.com/wiki/Homes. This could be automated by having a set of wiki redirects on pages such as wiki/commandhelp_/home, which could then direct to the relevant page, making the backend of this system maintainance free.

reporter The entire point of using the wiki is to avoid having one of us have to manually scrape through it and make the help work with every command change and update. It's because it currently requires admin maintenance that the help system is almost four years out of date.

I wish to work on this. Should we have a
wiki/commandhelp_/command
for every command? If so, I'm thinking of how we do it. Should the entire text of that page just be the name of the redirect page? (ieHomes
orCommands#Wood_donor
) -

We could either use your
wiki/commandhelp_/home
method, or we can just make a text file to storename:help_page
on that, however that requires admin maintenance.
