Registered players don't have /lwc perms or white names

http://minecraftonline.com/cgi-bin/controlpanel?playerinfo=DrinkSodurr says he went through the registration process, got his email, and registered on the control panel. But in game, still has a gray name and no permissions to /lwc. His profile (linked above) says that he is a registered player. It also didn't come in game "[this player] has registered!" in game according to him as well.

Actually the title is misleading. The affected players were not in fact registered; the registration confirmation process failed midway.

This was actually a web scripts issue.
