This isn't new, nor is it to do with our scripts - unfortunately it's a core canary bug with the /give command, since several versions ago, therefore it is the remit of l4mRh4x0r, and should be reported both to him personally (again as a reminder, since i already reported it a while ago), and also on the canary bug tracker... where i have now reported it: https://github.com/FallenMoonNetwork/CanaryMod/issues/113 (therefore considering this issue resolved)
