PVP Head-Count Tracker

Issue #415 new
Zomon333 created an issue

This is a recommendation for a command or area of the control panel dedicated to the amount of player heads of a specific player in circulation. This could probably be vaguely derived from the PVP deaths during and after Minecraft version 1.4.2 , given that the player isn't killed more than once in the certain time-frame that is already in place. (Isn't it a day? Or like 2 hours or something?)

Anyways, the only complexity would be counting when player heads are destroyed in lava, fire, explosions, the Void, or any other similar thing that I'm missing; and also the fact that player death dates might not be logged that far back. I'm unsure on that, and have no way to tell. Admin thing. (There's also the fact that player head destruction probably isn't logged already so these numbers would be inaccurate from the start...)

I think this would be an interesting utility that could be used to gauge the approximate worth of player heads.

Without regularly checking all containers and inventories this seems like it'd be hard to do. The control panel profiles already show pvp kills/deaths.

Tracking player heads in the world, as with any other kind of entity, is not possible without creating a plugin for that specific purpose. I don't see that happening for such a niche use, especially if a resource cost is associated.

By an entity, do you mean the head item itself as it falls into lava/void/whatever?

(I wrote this next part before realizing the above question, so disregard it if you want because it probably has blatant repetition of my lack of a realization of what you meant by an entity, even though it's a common Minecraft term.)

I was moreso thinking of not specifically tracking the heads in the world (Like chests & blocks), but instead tracking the destruction of the heads (If that could be tracked) and comparing it to PVP Deaths, kill time, and kill version, if that information was accessible.

You could figure out how many heads a player has ever had by using the last 3 data points named. The destruction of heads and non-PVP heads (Banned player heads and any admin/god spawned head) would be the only snag. Essentially it would just be this: (PVP deaths after 1.4.2 that didn't occur within the same X Hours)+(Amount of times that a player has spawned that head) - (amount of times the player head for the specific player has come in contact with void, lava, fire, etc.)
