Issue #445 wontfix
Former user created an issue

The build of WE being operated with bandaids is absurdly outdated and causes map errors and I would bet console warnings. Update from Beta 4 version to the 1.7.10 MC Stable released build. This will remove the chunk regeneration that has plagued several admins recently.

IT IS LITERALLY DRAG AND DROP. DON'T BE LAZY YOU FUCKING MORONS. CANARY OR SPIGOT ARE IRRELEVANT FOR PERFORMANCE OF WORLDEDIT

This discovery genuinely pissed me off and caused me to question the competency of the Dev staff on this server. I've just been too busy to use this ticket reporting system. I'm willing to file now since its morning and I'm refreshed!

Happy Saturday -Sneaky

Hi, I know this was discussed in chat right now, but, I’d like to add some further clarification.

The way that our server currently runs, plugins are split in twain: “Classic” plugins and Canary plugins. The “Classic” plugins were written for the hMod/CanaryClassic API and are dynamically loaded by ClassicLoader, a plugin written by 14mRh4X0r which acts as a compatibility layer between old hMod plugins and new Canary plugins. Two such “classic” plugins, CraftBook Extra and Exec, have dependencies on WorldEdit, specifically the hMod version of WorldEdit. In order to utilize the Beta 4 of the Canary WorldEdit, we would need to substantially modify both of those plugins.

The importance of both Exec and CratBook Extra can not be overstated, as each is vital for the current player experience on MinecraftOnline. WorldEdit is not used with a high enough frequency to justify the amount of upset that tampering with CBX or Exec could cause. Plus, with the move to Sponge on the horizon, it seems a safer bet to focus on that.

I appreciate the passion you have in discussing this, and, calling us “lazy fucking morons” was a nice touch which I’ll be sure to remember going forward!
