/clearinv Enhancement Request

Issue #456 new
Paul Bailey created an issue

Possible command could be /clearinv <item>

TLDR, Would like to have a command to remove specific items from a gods inventory. instead of the entire invnetory.

1622 <Excalibur_NUMNUM> anna, can i make a request to have a command to remove the item in just 1 slot of my own inventory?
1622 <Excalibur_NUMNUM> know we have clear inv. and that works great.
1622 <Excalibur_NUMNUM> but what about when you just want to clear 1 stack of stuff?
1622 [TG] <Anna_280> Can't you just hover over it and push Q?
1622 [TG] <Anna_280> Or ctrl+q for stack at a time
1622 <Excalibur_NUMNUM> not really. the nerfing to god items prevents that.
1623 [TG] <Anna_280> Does it jump back in inventory?
1623 <Excalibur_NUMNUM> if i press q to "drop" item. it magics back into my inv.
1623 [TG] <Anna_280> Ah, hm
1623 [TG] <Anna_280> What about pick up item with mouse then drop outside inventory or exit inventory?
1623 <Excalibur_NUMNUM> which i understand. dont want to be dropping them for other players.
1624 [TG] <Anna_280> I could make /clear work for specific items, eg /clear dirt
1624 <Excalibur_NUMNUM> that method eventurally works after trying to drop the item like 6-9 times. and runnng away from it.
1624 [TG] <Anna_280> @Anna_280 [I could make /clear work for specific items, eg /clear dirt], Add it as an enhancement request on the scripts issue tracker
1624 <Excalibur_NUMNUM> coulnt make it clear a specific slot?
1624 [TG] <Anna_280> By slot would be not as easy
1624 [TG] <Anna_280> But I could do that
1625 <Excalibur_NUMNUM> even if it was just 1 slot like the uppper right or left corner of the inv.
1625 <Excalibur_NUMNUM> that would be super aweseome. because i find that a lot of times. i have a bunch
1625 <Excalibur_NUMNUM> of god items in my inf. and i just need to remove 1 stack of items, and having to clear
1625 <Excalibur_NUMNUM> the entire inventory then re-spawn everyting but that 1 itme. sux
1626 <Excalibur_NUMNUM> ya like clear slot9 would be ideal
1627 [TG] <Anna_280> Why slot and not item type? Eg dirt
1627 <Excalibur_NUMNUM> because from my perspectivee, being able to clear whatever is in that slot. seems way easer.
1628 <Excalibur_NUMNUM> if i can just /clearslot9 insteald of /clear dirt, clear item1 itme2 item 3 etc.....
1628 <Excalibur_NUMNUM> see what i mean.
1628 [TG] <Anna_280> But you can only have one item per slot anyway
1629 <Excalibur_NUMNUM> i get that, but the point is that lets say my inventory is full.
1629 [TG] <Anna_280> And you'd have to move the item to the slot, or figure out what slot number
1629 <Excalibur_NUMNUM> i'd just bind that command to a key, and use that slot as my trash slot. for god items
1630 <Excalibur_NUMNUM> if it was by item. i'd have to have a different command for each and every item.
1630 [TG] <Anna_280> Remember not all god donors use macromod as extensively as you
1630 <Excalibur_NUMNUM> or i'd have to type out the command and item type every time.
1630 [TG] <Anna_280> For them by item would seem more sensible and easier than by slot
1630 [TG] <Anna_280> Can macro mod detect what is in your inventory?
1630 [TG] <Anna_280> And then use the item name straight in the command?
1630 <Excalibur_NUMNUM> ok i was just asking. i didnt know if it was even possable.
1631 [TG] <Anna_280> It is
1631 <Excalibur_NUMNUM> actually now that you mention that. it can.
1631 [TG] <Anna_280> By item however is much easier for me to implement
1631 [TG] <Anna_280> And more sensible for general use
1631 <Excalibur_NUMNUM> i could detect item. and issue the command that way. ok im cool with that. i think it
1631 <Excalibur_NUMNUM> other players too
1631 [TG] <Anna_280> Your macro however could detect when an item is in your "trash slot" and trash it
1631 [TG] <Anna_280> Just be careful that it would delete all items with the same id in your inve
1632 [TG] <Anna_280> Eg you put a diamond sword in it, it deletes your other diamond swords too

1632 <Excalibur_NUMNUM> im ok with that. esspecally because its usally 1partal stack of 1 type of item thats needed to get rid of
1632 [TG] <Anna_280> Ok
1632 [TG] <Anna_280> Please add an enchantement request about this on the scripts issue tracker
1633 [TG] <Anna_280> Mentioning most of what we just discussed and anything else helpful
1633 <Excalibur_NUMNUM> ok

Thanks for reading guys!
