Figured I'd inform you. With FE2 we're introducing a new API system for module management, and also reviewing how some things are done, especially backups. These changes will mean that FE compatibility in ForgeBackup will be broken, but that's a necessary evil. I'll update this issue as and when I get the APIs up and running properly again. You might find container.isLoadable = false pretty useful.
