Building x265 with fsanitize option gives error in gcc and clang

Tried to build x265 both in gcc and clang with fsanitize=undefined option and got the following error: unrecognized command line option "-fsanitize=undefined"

What version of gcc and clang did you try this on? It is supported only on clang 4.0, and gcc 4.9+
