Question about AVX-512 Support
I saw your blog post discussing AVX-512 in the Purley platform ( http://x265.org/x265-receives-significant-boost-intel-xeon-scalable-processor-family/ )
Is there a publicly available version of x265 that includes the AVX-512 enhancements for testing? Is it available in the 2.5 release or do you have to check out the latest source to compile it yourself at this stage? Are there any recommendations for compiling the package to make sure the support is turned on?

It is worth noting that AVX-512 would require converting from yasm to nasm as well. Yasm hasn't been maintained for a few years.

Yes, we're aware of that. Thanks!

Is there a rough target date/version for some AVX-512 optimization?

No public target date. But we haven’t overlooked this topic.

We don't yet have support for AVX-512 for x265 in either the stable or the default branch
