http and md5

there are http links all over the wiki that can be changed to https.

https://bitbucket.org/multicoreware/x265/wiki/Home never use md5 and/or sha1 for message digests. use sha512.

Can you please explain the benefits of using sha512 compared to md5? As of now we never faced any issues with md5.
