git hashes do not match with mirror

It seems that the hg repository no longer exists, which would not be a problem, if not all documentation/README pointed to it. Even videolan.org points to http://hg.videolan.org/x265/ which is also dead.

Either way, I checked the new git repository on Bitbucket and the mirror on github. For some reason the hashes do not match, which they should, if it was a mirror.

Thus I’m totally puzzled as to which is the correct repo for x265. Can anyone please elaborate and explain why the hashes don’t match?
