BRP069B41 energy consumption

Hello,

I have a BRP069B41 unit that supports energy consumption but the energy sensor doesn't show up in Home Assistant.

Could it be because of this unit reply with a 404 on the following URLs?

• get_datetime

• get_notify

• get_holiday

Other URLs reply with 200 and valid data.

The component queries the /aircon/get_year_power API endpoint to figure out if the device has working consumption reporting. At least for the device I have that endpoint returns all zeros, but the /aircon/get_year_power_ex endpoint returns valid looking data.

I don’t know if the _ex endpoint is available in all supported Daikin devices, so I don’t know if simply swapping over to that one would be a valid solution to the problem.

I’m currently running a version that has been modified to also consider the daily data when deciding whether consumption reporting is supported, but with only that modification the long term consumption info is missing.
