Low volume level
I experience a very low volume level of all my-noises since update to 1.5. Even with full volume both on my Device and my Headphones, the level is way too low. No problems before the update.

Volume is now on par with the web version, and iOS. It's the slider level curve that has changed, making the slider change level more drastically when pushed upwards. So, you will have to get used to it. That kind of curve is needed to better compensate for hearing losses (calibration). Now, it would be great if we could find a way to increase the level of all sliders - like iOS when we perform an horizontal 2-finger swipe across sliders.

I have the same problem. The volume is too low, especially when using the animate feature. I can understand wanting to have the same level for all platforms, but it doesn't work here. Maybe a volume multiplier in the settings to make it louder. Or a slider in each soundscape that controls the volume. Either way, the lower volume level is also interfering with the animate feature. The animate feature drops the level down, and the new volume level is too low.

I will add a global volume booster in the more... menu, as, once again, the mixer output isn't consistent across devices. Sorry about this, that's the joy of Android low-level dev...

reporter Anything new on this topic? With the last update to 1.5.2. (built 80) the volume level didn't really change. In a noisy environment (e.g. on the train, plane) sounds are still too quiet. Sure, I can increase every single slider, but that lacks accuracy. A global setting or 2-finger control would be very very appreciated.

Please increase the base volume level for SPEAKER playback

reporter Hello… anything new on this issue?
-
@luke030 yes, pushing a beta this week that fixes it
-
reporter Awesome! Thanks.

How does this look with beta 2.0 now?

- changed status to resolved
Please try build 212

reporter Hello and thanks for the new build. Unfortunately I don't see any improvement in build 212 on this issue. The sounds on my Samsung S7 are still too quiet and in a bit louder enviroment barely audible - although my device's media volume is set to max.
I still have to move every single slider to make a sound louder with the drawback of destroying the predefined settings (e.g. Color “grey").
Earlier in this thread some possible solutions were mentioned like a global volume boost or a two finger control but none of these seem to be implemented so far.
This great app is all about great sounds - but it still lacks a fundamental feature: proper volume control.

Let me see what I can do - it looks like a global boost for the app itself would be best as this impacts all generators

I agree, there should be software volume control for android as for desktop. Menu icon shows the same as favorites because of that? I thought I didn't understand how to increase volume with software but now I see it isn't there other than that, this is very helpful app!

@Maša Hrašovec All your comments are kept in a separate repo / bugtracker for V3 - will post back here once I have an alpha.

@Florian Doyon I didn’t quite understand you but if you make this software volume control I would like to download that version this is making a sound mask for me now, I have some strange noises in flat (probably something with central heating in building but who knows), sound seems nicer than from youtube videos

Hi! Was any kind of solution developed yet?
Like others have said, a global volume control (or something equivalent) would make the app so much better IMO. I love it, but too frequently it’s just not useful enough because the base volume is too low for the device + output combination, particularly when using external speakers.
Some people I’ve suggested the app to gave up on it quickly just because it was so much of a hassle to make the output loud enough and also maintain slider settings they liked.

I don’t want to say that it feels like the Android version of the app is now abandonware, but if not, working on it seems to be on the backest of the back burners!

Hi all - sorry for the super late reply. The app v2 is indeed not likely to be updated. V3 will hit private alpha soon and I will send each of you an email with the details as well as an apology ‘all you can hear’ subscription (or a code to give away to a friend).

reporter Hi @Florian Doyon… any update on this issue? How’s the development of v3 progressing?
-
It’s been nearly two years since the “V3 alpha soon” comment. Can we get an update? Cheers
