Audio cuts in and out when playing in the background
On a Nexus 5X, the audio is cutting in and out (like the tracks are pausing and playing again) when the myNoise app is in the background, with the screen on or off.
It makes no difference if I am in the high CPU mode or normal CPU mode.
Sound plays smoothly when app is in the foreground whether the screen is on or off.

I've also been having this problem, also on a nexus 5x running Android 7.1.1.

I'm having a similar issue, except it's now also happened when the app is in the foreground as well.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 Active running Android 5.0.

Wanted to add that when the sound stops for me, I've noticed all sliders will drop to the bottom.

I have the same issue. Nexus 6P, Android 7.1.1.

Same issue, rooted Google Pixel XL, Android 7.1.1, didn't happen in previous version of app.

This is purely a guess (I'm just another user), but this sounds like it could be related to Android battery optimization. Setting apps to "not optimized" in the battery settings sometimes helps make apps behave better in the background.

Nope, had the app battery optimization disabled in system settings when I was testing it out. Seems to be an issue with Android 7.1.1. My Galaxy S8+ on 7.0 does not have this issue on the latest version.

Thanks for reporting this issue. I believe this is now fixed in beta 1.5 - feel free to give it a try by enrolling for free here: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.mynoise.mynoise

To add more information to the issue, happens on myNoise 1.2, on a Nexus 5X on Android 7.1.1
Also audio cutting in and out in the background issue wasn't present on the previous beta version of myNoise.
On a Galaxy Nexus on Android 4.4.4: Sounds plays perfectly normally and consistently with myNoise 1.2. No audio cutting in/out at all with the app in the background/foreground.
