How often does this actually change when you have your 12 week scan. On my fourth child now. How often does this actually change when you have your 12 week scan. Unfortunately for us women as a "normal" pregnancy lasts 38 - 42 weks anyway it doesn't really gie you any heads up as to when the baby will actually arrive. I will be gutted if I go to my 12 week scan and find out i'm actually only 10 weeks or something!. I suppose i'll have to wait and see what they say at the 12 week scan, although it must be so frustrating thinking you are 12 weeks and being told you are only 10. On baby number 4 too and I have always been put forward 10-14 days. I wouldnt worry about it too much - the baby will come out when its ready. Or if you are looking for other members with babies due at the same time, pop in to our forum where you can meet other mums who are due when you are. My last menstrual period was 16th April, so the midwife gave me a due date of 23rd January. Once infertility has been diagnosed, there are a number of treatment options available depending on the root cause of the problem. Does this ever happen? You will have to or before you can ddate. When I had my 12 week scan, the baby was 67mm and so they put me forward a week and said that my due date would be 16th January. So not very accurate either way! Obviously you work out how far along you are initially by the first day of your last period for me it is 13th August which makes me 9+2 today. I know they give you a more realistic due date judging by babies measurements.
My dates have been changed at the dating scan with all of mine. I have known when i ovulated with the last 2 pregnancys i had and the scan dates were a couple of weeks out both times. The scan has always put my date back by 10-14 days approx!
