Cannot open .kdbx file

1. Generated new kdbx file
2. Try to open it
3. Get the message "Cannot open KeePass Database: XML data is not valid"

After decryption, the KDBX file is actually a compressed XML file. Hence, that error indicates that after decryption and decompression, the resulting data is not a well-formed XML data.

Though, this is problem is very rare to occur, or if it can even happen at all. There are other sanity checks along in the process too, that should fail much earlier than that check.

Please let me know of your setup. What locale it is in, what language it is in. And if possible, please attach here your sample KDBX file and password. DO NOT upload your real KDBX file, please. Thanks a lot.

Solution: Created new kdbx imported old entries - works in browsepass as well.
