Do you get the same error with Chrome?

If you do, KeePass might have changed its format and I'll need to update BrowsePass to reflect that.

But if you can open the same file, with the same password, in Chrome, then I'll need to download Firefox and IE to test. I do not plan (nor do I have enough will power) to test on them, yet.

    Please let me know. Thanks!

I have downloaded KeePass 2.27 and created a new file to reproduce this issue. I could not reproduce it with latest version of BrowsePass (either as a Chrome app, or with the Chrome browser).

Can you upload a sample file for me? Or more simply, make sure that the first 12 bytes in the file are (in hex):

    03 D9 A2 9A 67 FB 4B B5 01 00 03 00

The error "invalid file version" means that the first twelve bytes are not exactly as shown above.

@mue01 Yes, that looks right. Thanks for checking. Would you mind opening the same file in the latest version of BrowsePass too? If you still receive that same error, please please do attach a sample file and password here. Thank you very much for spending time on this with me.

    Hi Nam,

I just download the newest Version of BrowsePass and expand it. But I can't find file browsepass.html now in there (see screenshot).

I the chrome store I found in the description of your app that it is a read-only version. Also I saw in the examples that only the standard fields are shown. No user defined fields. But I need a full functional compensation of KeePass on my tablet (with Windows RT 8.1). So it seems that BrowsPass is no compensation of it and I can't use it. Sorry.

    Best regards

    Uwe

It is not browsepass.html anymore. The HTML file has been renamed to index.html.

The app in the Chrome web store IS able to read user-defined fields.

And there is only a read-only version. BrowsePass is not able to modify KDBX file yet.
