BrowsePass rejects kdbx files written by Kypass Companion

Issue #36 resolved
David Nikkel created an issue

I've been using KyPass Companion on Mac and Keepass 2 on Windows without problem for a long time now. Recently I bought a Chrome OS device, which caused me to look around for a solution to allow me to use my Keepass passwords in Chrome OS. I started to use BrowsePass.

However, I just had a disturbing situation - I made a change to my kdbx file on my Mac using Kypass Companion. Later, I tried to open my kdbx file using BrowsePass and it said the file was invalid. I then checked to make sure it would open properly using Keepass 2 on Windows and that worked fine. As a test, I made a change to the file and saved it in Keepass 2. I then went back to Chrome OS and tried to open the updated file in BrowsePass. Now it opened with no problem. So it seems that BrowsePass is rejecting a file that that is saved by Kypass Companion, yet Keepass 2 has no issue with the same file.

@dnikkel would you mind creating a dummy file and attaching it in this report? I'd love to take a look. Thanks.

@dnikkel Please wait for 0.7.1 to be pushed out the door. Thanks for reporting the problem and following up with the dummy file. It helped a lot.
