Could you include the option to add new entries to a KeePass safe?

Hi,

First of all, thanks for your nice work on Browsepass.

I have a question if it could also be possible to add new passwords to a KeePass safe using the Browsepass extension? Then this extension would be somewhat more similar to Lastpass, with the advantage that you can decide yourself where to store your password safe. Why is it currently read-only? Is this because of security?

Secondly, it would be nice if I could also open Keepass safes that are locked using my Yubikey Challenge-Response mode.

Thank you in advance.

    Hello there!

    1. Write support has been planned but I cannot give you a definite date when it will be available. Do not wait for it.

    2. I'm intrigued about the Yubikey feature. Does KeePass itself support that? From what I've read, I don't think it does.

Having said that, patches to add these features are welcome. Please send a pull request if you plan to work on them. Thanks!

No, @kreisel, that is not the same as challenge/response mode. The challenge/response mode is (my guess) the OTP mode mentioned on that same page. And you'll need some plugin for that.

The latest YubiKeys support generating one-time passwords following the OATH HOTP standard (RFC 4226). If you want to protect your database using such one-time passwords, you need the OtpKeyProv KeePass plugin.

I'm sure "static password" mode would work right out of the box with BrowsePass too.
