Issue #14

Issue #15 resolved
Former user created an issue

I sincerely apologize for making this issue, since I did it anonymously I cannot edit/comment on it. In summary somehow my sxhkdrc was to blame (I am not sure what the problem was, I have a copy of the bad file if it would be useful). Please close both of these issues everything is working as intended, thank you so much for your time and attention and for such a quality window manager I am thoroughly enjoying it.

No worries about the issue I'll close both eventually. I'd be interested in seeing the problem file if you've got the time to post it.

    Cheers

Hi Nate, thank you again I am really enjoying dk window manager. I am happy you developed it and I am happy I found it!

The best that I can tell is that this didn’t have to do with my sxhkdrc, but instead it seems related to issue 4. In practice, what I have done is make an sxhkdrc for each window manager I use (one section of common bindings, the other nuanced to the particular window manager) and in my xinitrc I use the -c flag to tell sxhkd what file to execute. The best that I can tell is that it was executed twice? (I am in the middle of midterms and didn’t have time to tinker too long). When I comment out the call for sxhkd to that file everything works fine (the path was the default one $HOME/.config/dk/sxhkdrc).

I hope this is useful and sorry for the vomit of text --- thank you once again!
