android-sdk location clears upon pushing save

Issue #28 wontfix
Anonymous created an issue

I'm using NB 8.0, oracle java 8, ubuntu 14.04

When I want to open android SDK, a warning that I need to set android-sdk location shows up and when I point it and press apply in settings, the path clears and android-sdk location is not saved (asks to set location again)

I'm also starting with nbandroid and I have the same problem.

These are the messages from the log file:

INFO []: Cannot set SDK location java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Error parsing sdk - missing build tool and platform tools. at [catch] at at at at at org.netbeans.modules.options.advanced.Model$DelegatingController.applyChanges( at org.netbeans.modules.options.advanced.Model.applyChanges( at org.netbeans.modules.options.advanced.AdvancedPanel.applyChanges( at org.netbeans.modules.options.advanced.AdvancedPanelController.applyChanges( at org.netbeans.modules.options.CategoryModel$Category.applyChanges( at org.netbeans.modules.options.CategoryModel$Category.access$1100( at at at at org.netbeans.modules.options.OptionsDisplayerImpl$OptionsPanelListener$ at org.netbeans.modules.progress.ui.RunOffEDTImpl$ at org.openide.util.RequestProcessor$ at org.openide.util.RequestProcessor$ INFO []: Cannot create debug bridge for any platform

They appear just as I give the path of the SDK, wich I downloaded from this link

    Hi Radim,

I thought the solution for this issue was the lack of platform-tools on the ADT downloaded version. I'm trying to do a new instalation of netbeans on a different machine using:

I have the same problem again: When I press the button "Apply" or "Ok" on the tab Miscellaneous -> Android, the introduced path go blank. Also, NetBeans keeps telling me about selecting configuration for android SDK if I try to use ani NBAndroid features.
