android-sdk location clears upon pushing save
I'm using NB 8.0, oracle java 8, ubuntu 14.04
When I want to open android SDK, a warning that I need to set android-sdk location shows up and when I point it and press apply in settings, the path clears and android-sdk location is not saved (asks to set location again)

Hi!
I'm also starting with nbandroid and I have the same problem.
These are the messages from the log file:
INFO [org.netbeans.modules.android.core.sdk.DalvikPlatformManager]: Cannot set SDK location java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Error parsing sdk - missing build tool and platform tools. at org.netbeans.modules.android.core.sdk.DalvikPlatformManager.readPlatforms(DalvikPlatformManager.java:138) [catch] at org.netbeans.modules.android.core.sdk.DalvikPlatformManager.setSdkLocation(DalvikPlatformManager.java:120) at org.netbeans.modules.android.core.ui.AndroidPlatformPanel.store(AndroidPlatformPanel.java:155) at org.netbeans.modules.android.core.ui.AndroidPlatformOptionsPanelController.doApplyChanges(AndroidPlatformOptionsPanelController.java:36) at org.netbeans.modules.android.core.ui.AndroidOptionsPanelController.applyChanges(AndroidOptionsPanelController.java:54) at org.netbeans.modules.options.advanced.Model$DelegatingController.applyChanges(Model.java:320) at org.netbeans.modules.options.advanced.Model.applyChanges(Model.java:203) at org.netbeans.modules.options.advanced.AdvancedPanel.applyChanges(AdvancedPanel.java:108) at org.netbeans.modules.options.advanced.AdvancedPanelController.applyChanges(AdvancedPanelController.java:78) at org.netbeans.modules.options.CategoryModel$Category.applyChanges(CategoryModel.java:401) at org.netbeans.modules.options.CategoryModel$Category.access$1100(CategoryModel.java:326) at org.netbeans.modules.options.CategoryModel.save(CategoryModel.java:222) at org.netbeans.modules.options.OptionsPanel.save(OptionsPanel.java:315) at org.netbeans.modules.options.OptionsPanel.save(OptionsPanel.java:299) at org.netbeans.modules.options.OptionsDisplayerImpl$OptionsPanelListener$3.run(OptionsDisplayerImpl.java:521) at org.netbeans.modules.progress.ui.RunOffEDTImpl$3.run(RunOffEDTImpl.java:247) at org.openide.util.RequestProcessor$Task.run(RequestProcessor.java:1423) at org.openide.util.RequestProcessor$Processor.run(RequestProcessor.java:2033) INFO [org.netbeans.modules.android.core.ddm.AndroidDebugBridgeFactory]: Cannot create debug bridge for any platform
They appear just as I give the path of the SDK, wich I downloaded from this link http://dl.google.com/android/android-sdk_r22.6.2-linux.tgz

I got mi nbandroid plugins working again just downloading the adt bundle from here http://dl.google.com/android/adt/22.6.2/adt-bundle-linux-x86_64-20140321.zip and using the sdk contained as SDK path for nbandroid configuration.
I guess the bundle has some tools that the sdk alone doesn't.

Aha. Now I see - your first SDK does not come with platform-tools and those need to be installed. I updated http://nbandroid.org/wiki/index.php/Installation#Android_SDK_Location

Hi Radim,
I thought the solution for this issue was the lack of platform-tools on the ADT downloaded version. I'm trying to do a new instalation of netbeans on a different machine using:
- the same version of ADT mentioned in the comments of this post (adt-bundle-linux-x86_64-20140321.zip),
- netbeans8 (http://download.netbeans.org/netbeans/8.0/final/bundles/netbeans-8.0-linux.sh),
- ubuntu server 14.04 64bits and
- gnome-shell 3.10.4
I have the same problem again: When I press the button "Apply" or "Ok" on the tab Miscellaneous -> Android, the introduced path go blank. Also, NetBeans keeps telling me about selecting configuration for android SDK if I try to use ani NBAndroid features.
-
Is there any way to fill this parameter manually on some configuration file?
-
It looks like there were 2 problems:
1.- adb command it was not running because the lack of i386 libraries (my installation of ubuntu server was 64 bits) - This link helped me http://askubuntu.com/questions/73491/no-such-file-or-directory-for-existing-executable
2.- I was installing NetBeans and android SDK on a not writable folder for the user
Solving these two issues I was able to set android sdk for NBAndroid.
Thanks for the great plugin Radim.

I met the same today. Would it better if NBAndroid prompt the actual problem instead of silently ignore the saving action?
