No search results after update

Hello together, our customer had the known issue with ‘Instant Search’ (https://bitbucket.org/ndunn/instant-search/issues/26/incorrect-preview-display-for-search). So we update the app to 2.9.1. But now the macro don`t have any result at search!? I attached a screenshot. In the log file I was not able to find any error related to the app.
We tested it on a test system and the behaviour is the same!

We tried to reproduce it and couldn’t. Is it possible to clear the cache on it? 

Also, what browsers + system was that on?

We tested several browsers and all show the same issue. And it`s over all users. What cache do you want to clean? The plugin is running on Confluence 8.5.3.
