Doesn't support webp
Issue #946
closed
Tried adding webp to Image file extensions list, and I get "No imaging component suitable to complete this operation was found." error.
Is there a way how I can add webp support? Like adding some ffmpeg or other libraries to expected location?
If not, can you please add it? Nowadays, when a lot of websites are serving webp, lack of it can truly be considered a bug.
I was about to re-encode my comics library to webp as according to my tests it cuts the size in half with no perceivable quality loss, but then I've realized NeeView won't open it :(

WIC Codec is required. If it is the latest Windows 10, it is installed by default.

Webp is not supported on Windows 7, but here are some ways to do it.
Plan.A: Use "WebP Susie Plug-in"
Plan.B: Install a dedicated WIC codec
