The field "date_time" now means two things:
- date and time when this database record was created (i.e. metadata for the record itself);
- date and time when given event happened (i.e. metadata for the object that the record represents).
These should be separated. For example, if I'm adding a payment that actually happened a month ago, what value should be saved to "date_time"? Probably that of the real event, but then the record creation date is completely lost. Moreover, "date_time_updated" becomes confusing as it is clearly related to the record, not to the event.
