Sage Driver: Requires being initialized twice to avoid a gross performance penalty.
Issue #9
resolved
As the title states, we have to re-initialize the video on startup to avoid a gross performance penalty (approx 20-30fps under what it should be). This happens on at least the VSA-100 series. It is indifferent to SLI. Have not tested it Voodoo 3 and Voodoo 2 are affected.

reporter Should I post this issue to sage on github as well?
-
Is this still an issue? Does it work properly if you comment out the hack in gl_sage.c line 99?
-
reporter Iirc it was necessary even on QDOS. But, I'll have to recheck.
-
reporter Yes, this is still necessary. 1024x768: 97fps with hack removed. 120fps with hack in place.

Possibly a init order thing in sage. Will try investigating/fixing as time permits.
