missing aesthetics (tlr->xy) : z

I am trying to generate a multiplot via ggarrange over a list of plots generated with ggtern. The following error is generated:

Error: ggtern: CoordTern requires the following missing aesthetics (tlr->xy) : z

Any idea on how to fix this issue?
