Note that this is very likely not an issue specific to XML Filter, but to all filters allowing sub-filters.
The work around is to copy the sub-filter configuration file in the same folder as the manifest (manifest.rkm).
The issue seems to be the path of the custom dir in the filter configuration mapper: it is not set to the expected value, but to the path of the manifest.
Another related issue (or more exactly the root cause) is that the config should really be with the manifest, like the base filter configuration.
Need to confirm the issue is still valid.
