How to use 3D models

Anonymous avatarAnonymous created an issue

Hi, I'm Fran from Spain.

I am a beginner in OMPL and i want to learn how OMPL read the model and enviroment information from the COLLADA file in order to implement the Collision Checking for example. I don't know how to load this information when I work without the gui.

Thanks for everything.

The Assimp library does most of the hard work of reading meshes (they don't need to be COLLADA files). There are demos that solve the same kind of problems that the GUI can solve such as omplapp/demos/SE3RigidBodyPlanning/SE3RigidBodyPlanning.cpp or omplapp/demos/SE3RigidBodyPlanning/SE3RigidBodyPlanning.py.
